1) Was Pastor Robert really in the Mafia? Yes. As a teenager, Robert ran errands for one of the Mafia associates in his neighborhood. He received notoriety in his early 20’s for beating the wrap on several crimes, and soon became the strong arm for a well-known mobster in the Gambino crime family.
2) Did Pastor Robert serve time in prison? Yes. From the time Pastor Robert was a teen, he was in some sort of trouble with the law, which landed him in jail on several occasions. In the 1990’s he was sent to Rikers Island. While there, he read God’s Word for the first time and began a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
3) Was he in the Witness Protection Program? Yes. While imprisoned at Rikers Island, Pastor Robert felt led to confess his sins to man as well as God and contacted the FBI. He entered the relocation program operated by the U.S. Marshal Service and served as a federal witness for almost a decade.
4) Why share his story? For many years Pastor Robert was unable to share his story due to his continued involvement in testifying for the government. After years of senior and pastoral ministry, the Lord laid a burden on Pastor Roberts heart to share his story as an encouragement to the church that God’s love can radically change lives.
5) Where did Pastor Robert receive ministry training? Pastor Robert attended and graduated from Christ For The Nations, where he was also ordained. For safety reasons, he wasn’t allowed to share his story during that period.
6) At what kind of events and churches can Pastor Robert speak? Pastor Robert’s heart is to share the power of God’s transforming grace through Christ wherever and whenever he can. He has spoken at schools, prisons, revivals, home groups and churches. He can speak at youth events and camps as well as weekend services.
